Leader of Opposition meets SA's High Commissioner.

The South African High Commissioner to Seychelles, Dumi Matabane, called on the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan today. Mr Matabane was in the country on a promotion tour for his country which is hosting the FIFA World Cup from June 11th.

Mr Ramkalawan expressed his support for South Africa which is the first African country to host the event.

‘South Africa’s ability to host the event has made the continent proud and the SNP fully supports this great example set by a country and nation which has achieved a goal many nation are still dreaming of.’

He also reiterated his congratulation for Eddie Maillet, the first Seychellois referee to officiate at most important event in the international football calendar.
